The World Cup period was a big success for HD Ledshine. The icing on the cake was the moment when the largest mobile screen in the world, 'The Black Pearl', immediately went to Paris for the Worldcup final after the broadcasting of the consolation final in Antwerp.
The World Championship is for many companies in the event sector a very busy period, this was also the case for HD Ledshine: "During this World Championship we always provided 12 different locations with a high quality screen," says CEO Tony Winter proudly. "Our mobile screens were very popular and did a great job! We look back with pride. " The largest one in the world, called The Black Pearl, which also achieved 4K quality, amazed people from Antwerp to Paris. After Nomad Events, organizer of the largest fanvillage in the country, decided to double there Antwerp fanvillage in size, they ended up contacting HD Ledshine. The Black Pearl proved to be the perfect solution and was therefore used to receive the extra 15,000 supporters.
When it was certain that the Belgians would shine in the consolation final against England, the requests from France came smoothly. "Immediately after the consolation, we had to do everything in our power to get our screens on time in France for the final. Our Black Pearl could also count on great interest and was therefore deployed at a beautiful location. Not easy in such a short time, but thanks to our team everything went flawlessly, "says Tony Winter. 125,000 French supporters were able to view the largest mobile screen in the world, Belgian-made and in 4K image quality with the majestic Eiffel Tower in the background. Thanks to the flexible design, the screen perfectly integrated into this historic location. "A real wow moment for the entire team! The icing on the cake! "Says Max Verbruggen, the project manager at the company.
The Black Pearl, the largest mobile LEDscreen in the world, presented and owned by HD Ledshine, amazed everyone earlier this month at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille. No fewer than 22,500 OM fans followed the Europa League final live on this Belgian world record. The company looks back proudly on this successful case.
The Stade Orange Vélodrome Marseille was the ideal setting for the baptism of 'The Black Pearl'. The screen is no less than 144m² and also achieves a 4K resolution. Thanks to the fast installation and dismantling times, a perfect solution for huge events like this one.
"This was an ideal example to prove the efficiency of our mobile screens," says Tony Winter, CEO. "The grass in the Vélodrome is of enormous importance, so you can only build up a few hours before the event and immediately disappear after the event." No problem for 'The Black Pearl', which also weighs 33.5 tons, it turns out: " It does not become more efficient than this "adds Max Verbruggen of HD Ledshine. "Our mobile units all have a build-up time between 30 and 90 minutes, something we have really strived for and it is now paying off."
During the semi-finals, a mobile screen of 100m² was already installed at the stage, but for the final the city of Marseille wanted to go one step further. That's how they ended up with HD Ledshine: "We currently have the only one in the world of this size. We continue to strongly believe in our mobile solutions, so further investments are already on the agenda ".

The Belgian company HD Ledshine has announced their launch of world’s biggest and best mobile screen. The screen will be 144 square metres big and will nearly reach the 4K resolution. Something that has never been seen before. The largest unit until now, without losing the 16:9 configuration, was a 100 square metre screen. The design of the world record unit is another remarkable asset. The company decided not to use any truck underneath and created a clean base with only one supporting column. Thanks to this design, there are no disturbing items blocking the view underneath the screen, even the wheels are invisible. The one and only unit will be launched at the Prolight + Sound exhibition in Frankfurt on 10 April. The company will also present the unit, among other LED products at their headquarters on 19 April 2018. For all projects in the United Kingdom, HD Ledshine will exclusively work together with Smart AV, an English company specialized in interactive technology and LED solutions.
